You may recall my earlier post when the Danny White family was having a barbeque to benefit their 18 year old daughter, Micaela, who is battling Acute Myeloid Lymphoma. Danny is a friend from high school and his parents are members of our church. The recent news on Micaela from her grandparents is that she is still trying to regain enough strength to have a bone marrow transplant at Children’s Medical Center. And, to make matters worse, the family suffered a devastating fire in February at their home in which they lost nearly everything, and which forced them to find temporary living quarters.
A Catfish Boil and Cookout is being held in Micaela’s honor on June 4th from noon until 4 p.m. at the Rosemeade Market in Carrollton. Please help if you can by attending the cookout or making a contribution at the Micaelas Army website. If you graduated from W. T. White in the ‘70’s, you will have a chance to catch up with old friends and classmates at the cookout. Find more information by reading my previous post and the WFAA news report from March.
Peace be with you.
